About Nora
” I find joy in offering empathy, understanding, and research-backed strategies to support my clients’ mental well-being.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-Associate) with a passion for providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. After a career working in the academic library at Michigan State University, I transitioned into counseling, earning my Master’s degree in Counseling from Spring Arbor University. This career shift was a natural one, as I find joy in offering empathy, understanding, and research-backed strategies to support my clients’ mental well-being.
I have received advanced training in trauma-informed care, including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), both of which are highly effective in treating trauma. Additionally, I am passionate about helping clients improve their sleep, recognizing its crucial role in both physical and mental health.
Outside of my work, I love spending time with my daughters and five young grandchildren. Life is full of weekly adventures exploring Texas, where I enjoy hiking, bird watching, and sketching, always finding new ways to appreciate the beauty of nature.
