About Debbie
Debbie Venetz is a Marriage and Family Therapy intern, military widow, and mother of three. Her personal experiences with military life, family transitions, trauma, and the loss of her spouse inform her compassionate, relational approach to therapy. She understands how grief, change, and stress can affect individuals, couples, and families—including children—and brings empathy and respect to each client’s unique story.
Debbie is pursuing her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Abilene Christian University, with a specialization in trauma. Her areas of focus include Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), trauma, PTSD, and military family dynamics. She is passionate about supporting individuals, couples, and families, particularly military personnel, first responders, and their loved ones.
Drawing on EFT and EMDR, Debbie works to create a collaborative, nonjudgmental space where clients can feel understood, work through painful experiences, and build stronger, more connected relationships.
