Hello, my name is Raquel Gonzalez. I am a fluent bilingual (English/Spanish) LMFT-A under the supervision of Margaret Bean, LMFT-S, here in San Antonio.

I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, and completed both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Texas Tech University through their accredited Couple, Marriage, and Family Therapy program.

I have experience working at the Children’s Advocacy Center, where I provided therapy to children and adolescents ages 7–17 who had experienced sexual trauma, using a Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) lens to overcome trauma-related difficulties. TF-CBT helps children address distorted or upsetting beliefs and attributions and learn skills to help them cope with ordinary life stressors.

I also worked at the Family Therapy Clinic at Texas Tech, where I provided therapy with a systemic lens help teens, college students, and couples alleviate multitude of symptoms e.g., depression, suicidal ideations anxiety, relationship concerns, communication difficulties, low self-esteem, and various everyday stressors.

I really enjoy working with clients from different backgrounds and helping them feel heard, supported, and comfortable throughout the therapeutic process.
