Teen Intensive Outpatient Program

Note: Let people know what treatment methods are available at innova & how they can benefit from using them to cope with trauma

Adolescence can be a difficult time for anyone

Innovaʼs IOP for teens meets teens where they are to provide them with the support they need to survive adolescence. Graduates of our Teen IOP have increased communication skills, ability to handle stress, and greater emotion regulation, making them more prepared for young adulthood.

What We Cover

We use empirically proven therapies that are highly skills-based.

These skills will equip your teen with the skills they need to cope with the pain they have experienced in the past, while successfully navigating present day challenges in relationships and school.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

Provides practical life skills for dealing with emotions, setting boundaries, having difficult conversations and downregulating when life becomes overwhelming.

Substance Abuse (Seeking Safety)

Identifies the ways one uses drugs, alcohol and other substances as a means of coping with life’s difficulties and offers alternative means of coping.

Relationship Effectiveness

Looks at how past traumas, hurts and losses affect current relationships while learning ways to make healthy connections today and build intimacy with those you love most.

Testimonials

Hear what parents think about our Teen IOP Program

“Since starting Teen IOP, our daughter has been using different skills to deal with her emotional spirals. Just this week she chose to go to the nurse’s office and take her medications and talk with the counselor about how she was feeling, instead of acting out like she normally would. We can see the changes that are happening in her behavior and in how she is thinking and feeling.”
“The founder is very hands on and helpful. I needed to refer a friend for mental health treatment for her daughter and Dr. Kasi responded quickly and was extremely helpful. They offer a service that is very much needed yet hard to find- mental health residential for adolescent girls.”
“This place was truly a GODSEND!!!!!!! We appreciated the attentiveness and the effort poured into our family members treatment. She is truly a better person and definitely the treatment put her in a better place. We thank you for everything you poured into her through therapy and even checking up on her months after her treatment was over.”

Not sure if this is right for your child? Take a look at the levels of care

There are a variety of levels of care that range from once a week meetings with a therapist to residential stays. Read our article on the levels of care for a breakdown of the different options and accompanying symptoms to help you decide which is the best fit for your child’s needs.

Know a parent who needs help with their child?

Parents often suffer in silence, ashamed to admit their child is struggling. Many don’t know their options for mental health treatment or what to do with them.

Our experts are happy to  consult with parents who may wonder if their child could benefit from treatment. We will help determine the most appropriate course of action moving forward.
