About Stefanie
“I am passionate about promoting wellness, resilience, and social justice in my community.”
I am a licensed therapist, educator, and advocate dedicated to providing culturally sensitive, trauma-informed counseling to individuals, families, and groups. I hold a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from The University of Texas at San Antonio, where I also serve as a lecturer in the counseling department. Additionally, I earned both my Master of Education in Counseling and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The University of Missouri–St. Louis.
With over eight years of experience in the mental health field, I have worked in schools, shelters, and clinics, helping diverse populations build resilience and well-being. One of my most impactful roles was providing individual and family counseling to at-risk youth through the Mobile Mental Wellness Collaborative, a partnership between Jewish Family Service of San Antonio and local school districts. My expertise includes group therapy, treatment planning, and supporting at-risk youth, and I am passionate about promoting wellness, resilience, and social justice in my community.
Outside of my professional work, I enjoy traveling to state parks and exploring the outdoors.
