Alexis Bierman, LPC-Associate, facilitates expressive arts groups. A counselor and mixed-media mosaic artist, she holds an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and an MA in Anthropology and Museum Training. She has come to see humans as a life-long special interest, since she was an anthropology/psychology major in undergraduate with a minor in religion and had a journalism scholarship out of high school.

Learning about trauma helped Alexis develop self-compassion and inspired her to become a counselor so she could help others find similar understanding. Her practice incorporates creativity, mindfulness, and play, drawing in part on interpersonal neurobiology and Internal Family Systems.
